The Pearson Test of English Academic is a computer-based English proficiency test for non-native English speakers who want to study abroad, or for Immigration purposes. PTE-A tests candidates’ English Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking skills.

Let’s talk about the format of the test. The test duration is 2 Hours. There are three main parts of the test: Speaking and Writing (to be taken together), Listening, and Reading.

There are 20 different question formats. The questions contain real-life spoken English or academic English so you might hear a range of accents in the test.
